Old Days in Butte published in the Oroville Mercury as a Butte County history series in 1941 that ran until 1943, Old Days In Butte is a collection of articles about Butte County history written by Florence Danforth Boyle. Mrs. Boyle was an avid walker and traveled by foot to many of her destinations that she writes about.  This is a great collection of stories about the area’s history with a map showing the location of all the places written about. It actually reads like a dictionary of Butte County history. This is a great book to introduce someone to the area’s history! 172 page paperback book.
