Born in 1849, this work is taken from a series of diaries dating from 1863 until 1920 by Anna Morrison Reed. Starting with her life in Oregon City in 1863 and later at Dunham Farm in Oroville in 1868. In 1868 she gave her first lecture inTehama County. It was a lecture on women’s rights. She went on to become the editor of a newspaper in Ukiah. She was an active member of the temperance movement. She published three books on poetry later in life.
